New custom made screen

We made delivery of a new custom made screen to Canada this summer.   "Pine forest in mist" by Tohaku Hasegawa(1539 - 1610) is the base painting.   Our screen was copy painted by a master artist, Ransetsu.  Gradation of light and dark was perfectly made with black ink.   See the photo .

Summer Sale 2015

Thank you to all of our screen supporters.   This year's charity summer sale finished with great success.  More than 100 people visited our show in two days and many screens/prints were sold than previous years.   The show/sale was supported by Franciscan Chapel Center as their charity fund raising event.  We appreciate your sincere help and kind understanding to that and hope to see you again next year.

Japanese Screens.Net: Screen Prices 2015

We revised all the screen prices based on current exchange rate of US$ to Japanese Yen.    Thanks to the increasing value of US$, we managed to reduce the prices of our screen collections.  It will be a good news in purchasing by US$.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has special exhibition of "400 years of Kano School".  That includes screens and painting of 120 pieces.   They show collections of the museum and national treasure of Japan as well.   It is worth visiting that.   The event lasts until May 10.
